Trophy Points are
awarded to the winner of the game in amount of Length of Game(in
minutes) x Number of Players.
From September 2003 to May 2005, points for lower placing were
calculated as Winners Points/position.
From June 2005 onwards, points for lower placing were calculated as
Winners Points/2
Position -1 with the exception that last
place earns zero.
In both systems points are allocated for ties by adding together the
points for the tied positions and dividing by the number of players in
the tie. (e.g If 2 players ties for first place they will each receive
(points for first + points for second)/2.
From August 2006 a bonus equal to the game length has been awarded to
anyone playing a game for the first time (or the first time in a long
time), this bonus is not awarded to a player who teaches the game to the
others.
From January 2007, the trophy point system has been discontinued.
